Audio, Video, and Photograph-to-digital editing

The newest, hottest thing for Plains Images is creating slide-shows and movies on DVD! These gems can then be played and viewed on your television, complete with titles, menus, credits, added sound and text, and so on.

Photos and slides can be scanned and converted to digital images and printed out as hard-copy photos, and made into a movie-like slide-show for viewing on either your computer or TV. This is quite labor intensive, and large projects could be very costly, but Oleva Lange (my sister) now has a DVD of the slides she took while traveling to Guatemala in 1973. We added the music of Cusco in the background and now she has a very entertaining trip down memory lane to watch whenever she wants.

Video from video-cams or VHS (VCR) tapes can be imported directly into my software for processing and conversion into a variety of movie formats. They can be saved as smaller files, perhaps for internet use as a Windows Movie file, or to save to CD-ROM, or as larger files and much better quality as DVD movies. Just ask Kate from Kate's Dance Studio in Swink, Colorado. She now has a very successful DVD video of her student's recent performance of the Nutcracker during the 2005 holiday season. This is a best-seller for her as her students and their parents snap these up as keepsakes and gifts for relatives.

Additionally, Audio, Video, and Photograph-to-digital editing capabilities can be used to create digital multi-media albums on CD. Captured photos, slides, and/or video can be saved in smaller formats to be included in digital photo-albums on CD. For the business person, you can have your stock or merchandise created as a catalog-on-CD complete with links to your website for ordering! Instead of shipping a heavy paper catalog, you only ship a CD to your customer. For the person moving up in the business world, I can help you create a live action resumé. Perhaps you could use a slide show of your artist portfolio complete with background music. If you are part of a musical group, capture your performance on video and let me transfer it to CD-ROM for easy distribution as a demo/sample CD complete with video and music. How about transferring your wedding memories or treasured family photographs to CD-ROM or DVD as a digital backup for your picture album? Keeping up with the times, the latest acquisition for Plains Images Co. is a Sony Handycam. This new tool will enable me to help Kate capture the best of her student's performances. It also allows me to capture high quality video for my other customers when needed. My vision of expanding Plains "Images" to work with all types of imagery; analog and digital, still-photo and video, has come to pass.
